Birding club of Druk school consisting of 10 enthusiastic birders packed their bedding for a night camp at Jigme Dorji National Park at Tashithang, Punakha (1700 m altitude, warm broad leaved vegetation) on 20th April 2017. They were escorted by Ms. Sonika Rai & Mr. Jonathan Redman, coordinators of Druk school Birding club. The following day was spent studying and observing almost 30 different species of birds including endangered species like Grey Heron with total population of 120 in the entire world. The program was organised in partnership with WWF Bhutan. |
