Distinguished Parents,

May I have the honour to inform you of the following with regards to the changes in the mid term examination schedule  due to the  historic visit of His Excellency Mr.Narendra Modi,Prime Minister of India to Bhutan. Druk School joins the nation in welcoming the VVIP and would like to contribute in our small ways to ensure the visit meets the highest level of satisfaction and  fulfillment. Therefore please note:

1. Students of Classes VI has the privilege to join the public to welcome  the VVIP on 15th June. The students will be dressed in school uniform and must be dropped at school at 11am so they can be  taken  to our designated place of reception, near the changbandu school highway. Please send lunch and plenty of water, sun cap and umbrella. The students may be picked up at school by 2.30pm. In case of any changes in timing, we will inform you accordingly.

The students are also expected to see the VVIP off on 16th June. The time has not been informed yet. So will do so once we get the information.

Parents of students of classes PP-V are also cordially invited with your child/children to join us  for the reception and farewell to make the event a bigger success.

2. A selected group of 20 students from classes IV-VI,  has the honour to  sing for the VVIP at the banquet luncheon, hosted by His Majesty on 16th June.

3. Considering the involvement of the above mentioned students and teachers, the date of the commencement of the mid term examination for classes PP-VI is postponed to 17th June with the same schedule of subjects, as reflected in the school diary,page:41.The exam will now end on 21st June,2014.Classes VII-X will continue with the examination with no rescheduling of dates.

Our humble plea would be for the students who would be involved in the above mentioned programs to be kindly monitored by parents to prepare for their exam whenever they are free during the long weekend.

4. May I also take this opportunity to thank each one of you for all your support in making the first term input a success.

With highest respect,

Yours faithfully,

Tshewang Choden Wangdi
