Our " School Rimdro" which is an annual event was performed on Saturday (28th March 2015) headed by Tsokey Lopen Rinpochoe (earlier Drakpe Lopen) of Dratshang Lhentshok (Central Monastic body).
Druk School initiated this tradition (Rimdro) since 2008 when Ms. Tshewang Choden Wangdi took over as the Principal of Druk School. Since then it has became an annual auspicious event of Druk School. This year (2015) for the well being of all sentient beings and in particular the associates of Druk School Drakpo Marchen, Jabshe and Mikha rituals were performed during the Rimdro. Students and teachers were served vegetarian lunch. Organic fruits and home made edibles were accepted as "Tso" to say 'No' to plastics. Students of all grades and faculty participated in the ritual by prostrating and offering Nyendars. Towards the end, the Principal, Deputy Principal and the Chief co-ordinator of Rimdro Lopen Chado received an oral blessings (Ngo) from the abbot on behalf of the Druk family.
