Thank you for coming back to school on the 16th as usual...in full force..excited to be back feeling! This term will see a lot of exciting programmes... the futsal tournament for the classes IV-IX  is on and the new game of baseball for classes VII-IX( girls) will begin soon! The turfed ground gives us a lot of new meanings and opportunities to try out exciting events.  Then, we have the major school concerts..PP-III on 8th September, the theme is the Cultural Splendor of Bhutan and IV-VI on 9th September,2012, the theme is the Cultural Splendor of the SAARC Countries! We are working on the venue and will inform everyone when it is decided.I would like to thank the parents for cooperating with the class teachers with regards to costumes.Special thanks to Mr.Jayasuriya, father of Binchy Choden of Class VIIA for helping class IVA with the  National Anthem of Sri Lanka.
We also have the School Fete to look forward to since it is a special request by the student body !They would like to organise a fun event  as a trade-off for the  hectic second term academic  requirements!
The School Leaders are working extremely hard to make the school a happier place for everyone. The Monday meetings are on with full attendance and I am amazed with the well thought out recommendations  from them for school improvement.
We are also on lookout for future school leaders.Nominations are coming in and we should have  a good team if the names are to be recon with!
I hope the special school bus provision on Tuesdays have made life easier  for some of our parents. Please do contact Mr.Phenday Nima( 17602521-Coordinator for School Transport)  for any feedback and improvement.
I also take the pleasure to inform that a trained librarian from Hongkong,  Ms.Ng Chui Lham( Ms.JO) has joined our team wef 1st August,2012. She has been recruited to set a up a new library as well as train our librarian ,Ms.Sonam Yuden. So, hopefully,Druk School will have a model library by July,2013.Ms.JO has already started off with some excellent library programmes for the juniors. She is also getting ready  for  the Reading Week in October.
